Pawleys Island Hidden Gem

The Glucks are back at it with more travel tips! If you’ve never been to Pawleys Island, SC you are missing out. We’ve grown up going to this sleepy town that’s 70 miles north of Charleston and 25 miles south of Myrtle Beach.

With 20 plus years of exploring PI we’ve gone to almost every restaurant the island has to offer. A staple that is the true hidden gem is Cabana Cafe. Now if you aren’t a local, frequent visitor or if you have never stayed at the The Oceanfront Litchfield Inn you wouldn’t know about this spot. It’s “hidden” by being nestled in the bottom floor of TOL.

The Cabana Cafe has been around for decades offering casual beach dining with local cuisine, great seafood. In this families opinion CC has the best crab cakes on the island.
Pro Tip: They do a crab cake basket w/fries, just ask for a toasted bun with all the fixin’s to make it a true crab cake sandwich. Thank me later.

With both indoor/outdoor dining options you are covered if you need to take a break from the heat or sit outside and get an oceanfront view.
Pro Tip: You can walk right in off the beach and post up at the open air beach bar. Order a daiquiri, they are always AWESOME!

I hope you enjoyed the 411 on my crab cake haven home away from home.
Come as you are and stop in, ask for Cindy, she’s the best and a staple at Cabana Cafe.
